This 60-minute webinar addresses the role of leaders in influencing the quality of behaviour of members of the organization from an ethics perspective. The session shall focus on specific elements of an organization’s managerial processes, such as approaches to recruiting, rewards and recognition, and compliance. This discussion will include specific examples of leadership failure as well as an identification of best practices, which can improve corporate culture, improve performance, and reduce risk.
Course Objectives:
There has been increased requirement of ethics training within industries, professions and organizations. Much of this has been in the form of required training during formal education and professional qualifications processes, and for required continuing education for many professional designations and registrations categories. However, almost all such training has tended to focus on front-line team members as they interact with clients and customers. Typically neglected in this training is a discussion of the significant role leadership plays in influencing the quality of this behaviour from an ethics perspective.
This webinar will address the relationship between the behaviour of leaders and the behaviour of those they lead. It will identify and discuss specific common forms of managerial approaches which can result in unethical behaviour of front-line team members. Specific examples of leadership failure will be discussed, and suggestions for improvement will be provided. In so doing, the webinar will establish the accountability that leadership can be held to for the behaviour of their team.
