Many development projects across a wide variety of sectors (including energy, transportation, and residential and commercial construction) will trigger one or more of the five most prominent federal environmental laws:
• National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
• Endangered Species Act (ESA)
• Clean Water Act (CWA)
• Clean Air Act (CAA)
• National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA)
Some projects will require compliance with two or more of these laws, and integrating the differing review, analysis and documentation requirements of the laws can be quite challenging. Many federal agency and private sector actions are delayed substantially by poor compliance with these key federal environmental laws, and litigation involving compliance is a frequent occurrence and often leads to lengthy delays in project approvals. This event will give you the insight you need to fully understand the key compliance requirements of these important federal laws and related regulations, and how best to navigate permitting a development project that triggers one or more of them successfully to assure proper compliance and avoid costly project delays. Join Michael D. Smith, Ph.D., one of the nation’s leading environmental compliance experts and a long-time consultant to federal agencies and industry for an information-packed, and fact-based webinar.
